Coaching session

One coaching session is 60 minutes long.

Coaching sessions can run in a traditional setting (online or face-to-face) or they can be walking coaching sessions. A walking session is a face-to-face session outside, with the outdoor location agreed between the Coach and the Client (St Albans & Hertfordshire).

Introductory call

A complimentary introductory call may be offered to prospective Clients to discuss their goals and determine whether the coaching relationship is the right fit. This call is non-obligatory and does not form part of any coaching package.

Coaching packages

Coaching packages specifically include:

  1. One of the following 60-minute coaching session packages:
    • Foundation – 7 sessions over 2–3 months
    • Growth – 10 sessions over 3–5 months
    • Transformation – 15 sessions over 6–8 months
  2. A Client can also add the Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) to the package.
  3. Practical tips, articles and videos shared via email or WhatsApp.
  4. Access to the Coach via WhatsApp & email (Monday to Friday) for support and accountability in between sessions.
  5. Session recordings (optional by the Client’s choice).

Guidelines

Coaching will commence following the acceptance of the Coaching Services Agreement and the receipt of payment.

The Coach and the Client will agree a time and date to meet and dial in to the pre-arranged Google Meet meeting at the arranged time. In case the sessions are organised face-to-face, the Coach and the Client will join the sessions at the arranged time in person at the venue agreed.

The Client will give the Coach 24 hours of notification if the session needs re-scheduling. This is via email to [email protected].

If the Client needs to reschedule less than 24 hours in advance, or worst case, forgets the call, the session will be considered completed and will be counted towards the coaching package.

If the Coach is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the same notice period should be given to the Client where possible and the session will be rescheduled.

Coaching relationship

The coaching relationship is a partnership. The Coach’s sole focus is to empower the Client to attain the results they desire.

In order to achieve the desired results, the Client must do their part by following through on the commitments they make.

The Client enters into the coaching programme with the understanding that the Client is responsible for creating their own decisions and results.

The Coach may make suggestions, however it is ultimately the Client’s responsibility for making their own decisions and determining the best course of action.

Client’s responsibilities

  • Be on time for each session.
  • Complete any pre-session work (if applicable) 24 hours in advance.
  • Follow up on all actions in-between meetings. If there are challenges around actions being completed, contact the Coach as soon as possible, so that the Coach can help.
  • Turn off all distractions during the meeting.
  • Let the Coach know if the approach is not working as quickly as possible.
  • Be honest and transparent about action taken or avoided.

Coach’s responsibilities

  • Be on time for each session.
  • Hold all information completely confidential.
  • Facilitate the Client’s progress towards their goals.
  • Provide tools and further resources to advance the Client’s results.

Confidentiality

The coaching relationship between the Coach and the Client is completely confidential.

The Coach recognises that the Client may disclose future plans, business affairs and personal information.

The Coach will not at any time share this information with a third party.

The Coach will not divulge that the Coach and the Client are in a coaching relationship without the expressed consent of the Client.

The Coach engages in training and continuing education pursuing and/or maintaining International Coach Federation (ICF) Credentials. The credentialing process requires the names and contact information of all Clients for possible verification by the ICF. Only the Client’s name, contact information, and start and end dates of coaching are shared with ICF staff members and/or other parties involved in this process for the sole purpose of verifying the coaching relationship – no personal notes will be shared.

Communication

All action and progress communication between sessions will take place via the WhatsApp app or email.

For rescheduling sessions, the Client should contact the Coach at [email protected].

All coaching sessions will be conducted either via Google Meet video link set up by the Coach or face-to-face in a location agreed between the Client and the Coach.

The Coach will respond to any communication between sessions within 24 hours Monday to Friday (but usually sooner) and will not be available on Saturday or Sunday.

Termination of agreement

The term of your coaching package is the required minimum commitment to your results, which the Client must take seriously.

Neither party may terminate this agreement without cause, and based on written notice thereof, allowing a right to cure within a 7 days notice.

Cause shall be defined as a material breach of the terms of the Coaching Services Agreement.

Indemnification

The Client shall indemnify and hold the Coach harmless from any loss or liability arising from actions taken or situations created as a result of the coaching relationship.

Fees

Unless otherwise agreed, all fees will be paid in full at the commencement of the coaching period.

There is a no-refund policy on all coaching programmes (sessions or packages).

Ethics agreement

The Client is asked to agree to the following statements as a part of the Coaching Services Agreement:

I understand that coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental health disorders as defined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. I understand that coaching is not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment, and I will not use it in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment or therapy.

I promise that if I am currently in therapy or otherwise under the care of a mental health professional, that I have consulted with the mental health care provider regarding the advisability of working with a coach, and that this person is aware of my decision to proceed with the coaching relationship.

I understand that information will be held as confidential unless I state otherwise, in writing. I understand that the Coach may share the information with her Supervisor and/or International Coach Federation (ICF) if she sees the risk of danger to the Client’s or anyone else’s mental or physical wellbeing or if required by Law. I understand that certain topics may be anonymously and hypothetically shared with other coaching professionals for training or consultation purposes.

I understand that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for professional advice by legal, medical, financial, business, spiritual or other qualified professionals. I will seek independent professional guidance for legal, medical, financial, business, spiritual or other matters.

I understand that all decisions in these areas are exclusively mine and I acknowledge that my decisions and my actions regarding them are my sole responsibility.
